Pre-New Year Meeting of the Diplomatic Corps in Almaty

Almaty, 14 December 2025 — A pre-New Year meeting of the diplomatic corps, dedicated to summing up the results of 2025, was held in Almaty at the residence of the Honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic in Almaty, Gulmira Tolganbayeva, located in the Shymbulak mountain resort area.

The event held special symbolic significance as it coincided with the birthday of the main organizer of the meeting. In a warm, informal, and truly festive pre-New Year atmosphere, the participants congratulated the Honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic, reviewed the key outcomes of 2025, discussed the main results of the activities of the Society of Honorary Consuls, and outlined plans and priorities for the coming year.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the diplomatic community, including:
-Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty — Zhanibek Abdrashov;
-Representative of the United Nations Department of Global Communications and Head of the UN Information Office in Kazakhstan — Vlastimil Samek;
-Honorary and Consular representatives of Lithuania, France, Brazil, Mexico, Slovakia, and Belgium.

Such meetings contribute to strengthening professional and friendly relations among members of the diplomatic corps in Almaty, fostering international dialogue, and shaping a constructive agenda for cooperation within the framework of the Society of Honorary Consuls of Kazakhstan.
