August 27-30, Warsaw, Poland - The FICAC delegation visited Warsaw, Poland, from August 27–30, 2025, at the invitation of the Union of Honorary Consuls in the Republic of Poland. The program was organized under the leadership of Hon. Marek Kłoczko, President of the Union, together with H.E. Janusz Jesionek, Deputy Chairman and Secretary General. The visit provided an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between the two organizations and to advance their shared commitment to consular diplomacy and international collaboration.
The program in Warsaw included a series of high-level meetings and cultural activities. The delegation had the honor of visiting the Polish Parliament (Sejm and Senat), where members met with Mr. Maciej Źywno, Deputy Marshal of the Senate, and participated in a working lunch. Another important highlight was the official reception and dinner hosted at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where discussions focused on strengthening ties and cooperation.
The delegation also engaged with the Polish Tourism Organization, exploring opportunities to foster cultural exchange and tourism promotion. Cultural highlights of the program included a visit to the Historical Museum of Warsaw and the Royal Castle, showcasing Poland’s rich heritage.
The visit culminated with the 19th FICAC Board of Directors Meeting, held in the Chamber of Commerce, followed by a dinner hosted by the Union of Honorary Consuls in Poland.
The Society of Honorary Consuls of Kazakhstan was represented by Mr. Denis Van den Weghe, Member of the Board of Directors of FICAC and the Chairman of the Society of honorary consuls of Kazakhstan, who actively participated in all sessions and discussions. His presence underscored Kazakhstan’s commitment to international cooperation, strengthening partnerships within the consular community, and contributing to dialogue on diplomacy, culture, and tourism.
