Working meeting of the Society of Honorary Consuls

On October 22, 2023, on the occasion of the National Day of Hungary and on the eve of the Republic Day in Kazakhstan, the Honorary Consul of Hungary, Mr. Jambulat Sarsenov, organized a working meeting on the basis of the tourist complex "Edelweiss".

The Chairman of the Board of the Society of Honorary Consuls, Mr. Denis Van den Weghe, Consul General of Hungary, Mr. Ferenc Blaumann and his wife, representative of the UN Department of Global Communications, Mr. Vlastimil Samek, as well as honorary consuls of countries such as Morocco, Slovakia, Indonesia, etc. took part in the familiarization tour of tourist sites and surroundings.

In a hospitable atmosphere, the participants got acquainted with the activities of tourist facilities in Almaty and Almaty region, as well as with the work of the tourist complex "Yuzhnaya Camp Site". Professional guides – Gulmira Mukhanova, Vagida Salimova and Antonina van Lier told the participants about the work of the camp site, and also conducted an excursion along the route from the Yuzhnaya Camp site through the Alpine Rose mountain hotel to the Big Almaty Lake.

After an intensive walk in the fresh air, the guests gathered at the traditional Kazakh dastarkhan and continued to get acquainted with the sights of various tourist routes using photo and video materials.

During the working lunch, the Consul General of Hungary, Mr. Ferenc Blaumann, thanked all the participants for congratulations on the occasion of the National Holiday of Hungary and for the active discussion of tourism development in Almaty and Kazakhstan in general. In addition, Mr. Vlastimil Samek shared his 18 years of experience in Kazakhstan and the Central Asian region.

The participants of the event outlined the dates of the next meeting in mid-December as part of a cycle of familiarization with tourist business facilities and seasonal familiarization routes.
