Opening of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Thessaloniki, Greek Republic

On November 28, 2019, the Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan in Thessaloniki was opened. Ioannis Malkoyannis, a well-known Greek businessman, CEO of MM Publications, was appointed Honorary Consul.

Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Greek Republic, H.E. Alexey Volkov, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Macedonia and Thrace, Theodoros Karaoglu, Director of the Department of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Greek Republic, Ioannis Vikelidis, as well as representatives of socio-political and business circles, diplomats and journalists attended the ceremony.

The opening of the Honorary Consulate will make a significant contribution to the deepening of bilateral economic ties, as well as increase the flow of mutual investments between Kazakhstan and the Greek Republic.
