Opening of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Armenia in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan

On November 12, 2018, a new Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Armenia was opened in Almaty. An honorary consul has been appointed - Mr. Arutyun Pogossyan, a local businessman. Mr. Pogossyan will work on the development of Armenian-Kazakh relations in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The event was attended by the Head of the MFA Representative Office in Almaty, Mr. Ruslan Bultrikov, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Almaty, Mr. Evgeny Bobrov, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Belgium in Almaty, Chairman of the Board of the NGO "Society of Honorary Consuls", Mr. Denis Van den Weghe.
