On November 14, the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan opened in Mogilev in the Republic of Belarus. Mr. Sergey Demeshkevich was appointed Honorary Consul.
Kazakhstan and Mogilev region have been cooperating for many years, so the opening of the new Honorary Consulate was planned in advance. In addition, at the moment many citizens of Kazakhstan live in Mogilev.
"Kazakhstan is one of the main economic partners of the Mogilev region," Vladimir Domanevsky said. In January-September of this year, the foreign trade turnover between the economic entities of the Mogilev region and Kazakhstan increased by 57% and amounted to $82.8 million, while exports to Kazakhstan increased by 52.4%. "We are sure that this is not the limit, and we expect that the opening of the consulate will contribute to the activation of our cooperation," as Vladimir Domanevsky said.
